Floral Design Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Lead Floral Designers and staff in weekly tasks required in preparation for all departments to be able to execute flawless events
  • Assist in the development and organization of all aspects of event logistics, decor, floral and execution
  • Assist in the preparation of event materials and supplies for projected events
  • Researching and forecasting event trends (including floral, decor, design, lighting etc.)
  • Assist in office related errands and general administration needs when requested to fulfil department ease
  • Learn through hands-on experience what it takes to be a Floral Designer


Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Interest or background in the floral, event, entertainment, and/or hospitality industry
  • Floral arrangements experience also a plus
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills are a must
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
  • Creative and critical thinking is required
  • Strong online research skills
  • Familiar with the basics of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiar with both Mac and PC Operating Systems
  • Ability to work as part of a professional team
  • Planning and prioritization skills
  • High-energy, self-managing and self-starter personality

The CLUX Florals department seeks a passionate and hard working intern to assist with all floral design aspects for this upcoming summer event and wedding season.

The candidate will work closely with the Floral team to ensure all projects and jobs are handled in a timely and professional manner. The desired candidate should have experience in floral, hospitality, event planning, design and/or execution. Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to critically think, problem solve and prioritize are a huge asset. Computer skills and the ability to work in a fast paced team environment are required.

Event Production & Design Intern

  • Assist in the development and organization of all aspects of event logistics, decor, floral and execution

  • Serve as support for the Senior Production Designers 0n and off site
  • Learn through hands-on experience what it takes to be an Event Planner

Delivery Driver/ Installer

Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be a team player
  • Great customer service skills
  • Flexible schedules (Weekends, nights, occasional holidays)
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematics
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent Organizational & Time management skills

Requirements:

  • Previous driving experience (box trucks, tractor trailers, etc.) required, with the ability to operate these vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
  • Valid professional driver’s license
  • Clean driving record
  • Must pass mandatory drug tests and background checks
  • High School Degree
  • Physical Demands:Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
    Must have a full range of motion and dexterity including but not limited to bending, squatting, reach above head, climb and walk straight, push/pull heavy loads
    Adequate vision with or without corrective lenses

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
  • Follow route and time schedule
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicles
  • Complete logs and reports
  • Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Get fuel for trucks when less than half full
  • Be aware to special delivery instructions
  • Communicate with client about order and how it will get set up/ stricken
  • Communicate with Logistics per company policy
  • Clean up job site and count all inventory after every delivery and pickup
  • Complete paperwork per company policy
  • Must learn installation/ strike procedure with all products and equipment

Role: The role of Carolina’s Luxury Event Rentals Delivery Driver/ Installer is to demonstrate safe driving practices, knowledge of equipment and the ability to work well with customers and co-workers.

The Delivery Driver will be a dependable, prompt leader who will distribute products promptly to our customers. The Delivery Driver will represent CLux in a professional manner, aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.
